I'm very sensitive to this chemical and it causes my skin to break out and become really dry. I've also developed scarring on my legs from the dry patches.
Now small amounts of soy are fine for me but I'm a vegetarian and most of the food on the market that are quick contain: Soy.
Even though I know soy is not good for me I've been eating it lately out of convenience and my skin is starting to pay the price.
Yesterday I stopped at whole foods market and found Quorn Prouducts. These products contain Mycoprotien , which is a fungus. Since I love mushrooms and mushrooms are a "fungus" I've decided to give this product a try.
Don't get me wrong, I still am a little grossed out.
Yesterday I was browsing the vegetarian journal on live journal and some people have had reactions to the Mycoprotien, but that is not uncommon with foods.
